PRE-ASSEMBLED INSTALLATION KITS

Simple, fast installation for door access control. This kit includes everything necessary to secure an access point using a CAS-3000 fingerprint reader as the key to the door. Just hook up the lock, door contacts, and the request to exit button at the door, plug in the CAS-3000 fingerprint reader, and power-up the system. It is as easy as that.

This kit is ideal for standalone door systems but also has serial connectivity for the transfer of fingerprints and messages to a host computer.

Pictured below is the same installation kit as the one described above with the only change being the addition of an Ethernet converter. Instead of connecting serially to a host computer, this allows for connection to a LAN for the transfer of fingerprints and messages.


Both kits are approximately 8.5" x 7.5" x 4" weighing just under 10 lbs. a piece. Each kit includes a power supply with a 12V 4AH backup battery. All you need to supply for the installation is the wire and the labor time.



DESKTOP ENROLLMENT STATION

For achieving the best possible enrollment you will need to add to your system a desktop enrollment station. They connect through either a parallel port or a USB port at the host computer. With the Auto-Tune feature during enrollment the unit's settings are tuned to each individual user's finger characteristics.

WEATHER SHIELD

When a CAS-3000 fingerprint reader is being mounted outdoors where it is subject to rain, snow, direct sunlight, or any other harsh condition, a Weather Shield enclosure should be installed.

RS232 TO ETHERNET CONVERTER

For quick and easy connection to an existing LAN, or if RS232 serial connection just won't go the distance to the host computer, all you need is an RS232 to Ethernet converter. Code Access recommends either the Lantronix UDS-10 one port device server or the Lantronix MSS4 four port device server.
